310.1 Residential Occupancy Classifications We Work With

At Tara Architecture,we specialize in designing, building, and remodeling properties that fall under Residential Group R classifications as defined by the International Building Code (IBC). Understanding these classifications ensures that your project meets safety standards, building regulations, and is tailored to your specific needs.

R occupancies must meet specific life safety, egress, fire protection, and accessibility requirements tailored to their risk level and occupant type.

These are small residential care facilities for 6 to 16 people

✅ Why This Matters

Each classification comes with specific building codes and safety requirements. By working with a team that understands the IBC Residential Group R standards, you avoid costly compliance issues and ensure a safer, better-built living environment.
